SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION: MOVING BEYOND EARTH
For a new gallery in the Smithsonian Institution's Air and Space Museum, Luce Group designed the lights for the stage area, which is used for exhibits, presentations and live broadcasts on the Smithsonian's website. LED, conventional and automated theatrical fixtures were chosen for their flexibility of focus and range of color. Since the look of the space needed to change significantly depending on its use, Luce Group worked closely with the museum to specify a control system that could be accessed locally and remotely and that had command over the theatrical and architectural systems in the room.
